SUBMISSION EVALUATION PROCESS

Paper Evaluation Process

All papers submitted within the scope of the 3rd International Data Science and Information Technologies Congress (INFTEC 2026) will be subjected to an evaluation process by the editor and expert reviewers to ensure scientific quality and academic standards.

Editorial Preliminary Review

Submitted papers are first pre-examined by the editorial board. At this stage, studies are evaluated according to the following criteria:

Relevance to the congress theme and scope
Scientific content and originality
Compliance with writing guidelines

Scientific Peer Review

Papers that pass the preliminary review are taken into the scientific evaluation process by an expert reviewer in the relevant field. Based on the reviewer evaluation reports, the following decisions may be made:

Revisions may be requested from the authors when deemed necessary in line with reviewer recommendations. Accepted papers will be included as oral presentations in the congress program, and studies that are presented will be published in the congress proceedings book.

INFTEC 2026 adopts academic ethics, impartiality and scientific quality as its fundamental principles in the scientific evaluation process.

Publication Ethics and Scientific Ethical Principles

All studies presented within the scope of INFTEC 2026 must be prepared in accordance with academic integrity and scientific ethical principles. Authors are considered to have declared that their submitted studies:

  • Are original,
  • Have not been published elsewhere and are not under evaluation elsewhere,
  • Use all sources by citing them appropriately,
  • Follow ethical rules during the research process.
Scientific ethical violations include:
  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or data manipulation
  • Ghost authorship / Gift authorship
  • Duplicate publication

If such ethical violations are detected, the relevant paper will be removed from the evaluation process or rejected. INFTEC 2026 follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding publication ethics.

Plagiarism Policy

All papers submitted within the scope of INFTEC 2026 may be checked for plagiarism. Authors are expected to cite all sources used in the preparation of their studies accurately and completely.

Using content from other studies without citation
Unauthorized use of ideas or data from other researchers
Republication of a previously published study

Studies in which plagiarism is detected may be rejected or removed from the evaluation process.

Copyright and Paper Publication Policy

The copyright of papers submitted to and accepted by INFTEC 2026 belongs to the authors. Authors are considered to have accepted that their papers:

  • Will be presented in the congress program,
  • Will be published in the congress proceedings book (Proceedings).
Important: For an accepted paper to be published in the congress proceedings book, at least one author must register for the congress and present the study.
INDEXING / POLICY
Congress Indexing Policy

Papers accepted and presented within the scope of the 3rd International Data Science and Information Technologies Congress (INFTEC 2026) will be published in the Conference Proceedings book. The congress organizing committee plans to make the necessary applications for the proceedings book to be included in appropriate academic databases and indexes.

Google Scholar Crossref DOI Academic Open-Access Databases International Conference Indexing Platforms

Indexing and database processes depend on the independent evaluation criteria of the relevant platforms. Therefore, the congress organizing committee does not guarantee inclusion in any specific indexing platform. Necessary academic applications will be made to increase the scientific visibility of the papers presented and published at the congress.
